Services

Warrenton Rural Vol. Fire Dept. provides a variety of emergency and non-emergency services to our community.

Fire Protection

WRVFD firefighters work to extinguish a mobile home fire in the early morning hours.

Warrenton Rural Vol. Fire Dept's primary mission is to provide fire protection to the Town of Warrenton and the Central Warren Fire District. 

Our volunteer firefighters consistenly train in order to provide our community with the higest level of service; many of whom are certified as NC Firefighters, and certified in Hazardous Materials Operations.

Warrenton Rural Vol. Fire Dept. maintains automatic mutual aid agreements with neighboring fire departments in order to provide all the necessary equipment and manpower to fires and other emergencies.

Rescue

WRVFD and neighboring fire departments work to extricate occupants pinned in a vehicle.
​Other members set up a Landing Zone for helicopters to transport the patients to a trauma center.

Warrenton Rural Vol. Fire Dept. provides vehicle extrication and technical rescue services in our district and responds mutual aid to surrounding fire departments. 

​Warrenton Rural Vol. Fire Dept. has a myriad of rescue equipment and tools from hand tools and power tools to hydraulic rescue tools like the "Jaws of Life."

First Responders

WRVFD first responders attend a medical continuing education class on airways taught by Duke Life Flight.

Most of our firefighters are certified in Healthcare Provider CPR and have been trained in basic first aid. Some of our members take additional medical training classes to become certified as a NC Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or NC Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).  They respond to medical and trauma calls to provide emergency patient care until the paramedics arrive on scene.
